Fr. Lukas M. Laniauskas, SJ

In June of 2021, Fr. Lukas M. Laniauskas, SJ became pastor of Church of the Gesu. Fr. Laniauskas came from his final stage of Jesuit formation called Tertianship in Dublin, Ireland.  Fr. Lukas M. Laniauskas, SJ was born in Cleveland, OH into a Lithuanian-American family. He is a citizen of both the United States and Lithuania. He attended Catholic schools throughout his life (the former St. Felicitas Grade School, St. Ignatius High School, and Lake Catholic High School). After his sophomore year at Loyola University Chicago, he entered the Society of Jesus in Lithuania. Having completed the novitiate, he professed perpetual vows and continued his studies in the US. Fr. Laniauskas, SJ studied philosophy at Loyola University Chicago and theology at the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University in Berkeley, CA.
